Learn the basics of Fleet Carrier trading and how to start making profits with your carrier.
¶ Overview
Fleet Carriers allow commanders to engage in large-scale trading operations. By leveraging their cargo capacity and mobility, carrier owners can buy low, sell high, and generate significant profits.
Trading with a Fleet Carrier can be done in two ways:
- 📦 Self-Hauling – Load and unload cargo yourself for maximum profit.
- 🚀 **Trade Missions** – Recruit other CMDRs to haul goods for you, offering near-passive income.
¶ How Fleet Carrier Trading Works
The concept of Fleet Carrier trading is simple: buy a commodity at a low price from a station, store it in your carrier, jump to another system, and sell it for a higher price.
Unlike traditional trading, carriers allow you to:
- 🛑 **Park next to a station**, reducing travel time.
- 💰 **Stockpile massive quantities** of goods for efficient sales.
- 🔀 **Transport goods instantly** across long distances.
¶ What to Trade
The most popular and profitable commodity for carrier trading is Agronomic Treatment (Agro).
Why Agro?
- ✅ Low buy price (~3,000 CR/T)
- ✅ High sell price (~30,000 CR/T)
- ✅ Consistent supply and demand
While other commodities may yield high profits, they often come with drawbacks such as limited supply or station restrictions.
¶ Finding Good Trade Routes
Use Inara to locate the best trading stations.
¶ Finding a Loading Station
- 🔎 Go to **DATA > COMMODITIES > COMMODITIES LIST**.
- 📍 Search for **Agronomic Treatment**.
- 📊 Look for stations with high supply and low prices.
¶ Finding an Unloading Station
- 🔎 Use the **WHERE TO SELL** section.
- ⚠️ Look for stations with **Demand = 0** (unlimited buy orders).
Make sure the station data is recent, as prices change daily.
¶ Setting Up Your Carrier
Once you have identified a profitable trade route:
- 📍 **Jump your carrier to the loading station**.
- 💰 **Set a buy order for the commodity** (e.g., Agro at 13,000 CR/T).
- 📦 **Once full, jump to the unloading station**.
- 🛒 **Set a sell order** at a competitive price (e.g., 20,000 CR/T).

There are two ways to execute Fleet Carrier trades:
